Overstory is seeking a Staff Technical Recruiter to build and scale our technical teams. You will own end-to-end recruiting for hard-to-fill roles, partnering with leadership to define roles, design hiring strategies, and close offers.

This role operates in a global, remote-first environment and requires a mature, mission-driven recruiter who can navigate multiple geographies with ease. You will influence hiring decisions, build scalable systems, and champion our values as we grow.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth tech startups.
• Proven track record closing hard-to-find technical talent (e.g., ML engineers or similar).
• Fast-moving startup culture with multi-hat responsibilities.
• Trusted hiring partner that influences decisions effectively.
• Tech-savvy and able to apply AI to recruitment.
• Experience building scalable recruiting systems and tooling.
• Experience hiring across multiple geographies in remote-first environments.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles from definition to offer.
• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to shape role requirements and strategies.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through creative sourcing and networking.
• Guide candidates through the interview process across teams/timezones.
• Develop systems, branding and networks to streamline recruiting as we scale.
• Use data and feedback to optimize hiring practices and outcomes.
• Act as a culture ambassador and trusted partner to reflect Overstory's values.
• Support the people team across priorities in a lean, fast-paced environment.
