Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
Experience or knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
Fluent English and effective communication skills.
Experience in accounting within a multinational/multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

Regular posting of business transactions.
Monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closes.
Assist in audit requests and regulatory requirements.
Support Accounts Payable, Assets accounting and Treasury.
Reconciliations for accounts, banks, and systems.
Prepare management information reports as requested.
Ensure accuracy of postings and compliance with policies.

Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Insurance_Accountant _ Senior Associate

Responsibilities

Regular posting of business transactions;
Month, Quarter and Year End activities;
Be involved in audit requests;
Support Accounts Payable, Assets accounting and Treasury areas;
Accounts, banks and systems reconciliations;
Intercompany reconciliations;
Support the production of financial monthly reports;
Liaising with internal and external parties to meet agreed deadlines;
Find proactive approaches to ensure regulatory, tax, corporate and compliance requirements are met when applicable;
Analysis and preparation of management information reports as requested;
Support country Finance Manager
Assure the accuracy of accounting postings and compliance with accounting rules and internal accounting policy and delegated authority matrix.;
Resolve queries from stakeholders by e-mail or phone;
Create and/or update processes and internal documentation on a regular basis;
Support and participate in the implementation of continuous improvement or change project work and processes;
Support Line manager in standardization/automation of European procedures;
Delivers exceptional quality service standards/KPI's and maintain the relevant data updated.

Qualifications

Have a degree qualification in Economic/Administrative/Accounting area or equivalent;
Good understanding of the concepts of Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Fluent in English;
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a member of different teams;
Attention to detail and accuracy, structured and autonomous working style;
You would need to be able to explain your findings in a simple way that does not mislead or confuse;
Results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a very fast paced environment where the pace and quality of response are critical to success;
Ability to organise, prioritise and plan workload to meet deadlines;
Curious, willing to learn and showing a challenging conventions spirit;
Good interpersonal skills;

Ability to take ownership of accounting problems and apply logical thinking to resolve them;
Ability to focus on making an impact in the area displayed by an eagerness to make a difference, even under pressure;
