Job summary

Genpact Ltd. in Portugal is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to handle invoice processing, posting transactions, and maintaining accurate AP records. You will review PO and Non-PO invoices, verify totals, and apply discounts where relevant, ensuring timely payment approvals.

The role requires strong data analytics and proficiency with AP systems. Portuguese language at B2 level is required; remote work is available under standard Portugal terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in accounting, commerce, economics or finance; Masters in finance is a plus.
• Portuguese language proficiency: Upper Intermediate (B2).
• Experience with AP processes, invoice processing and reconciliations.

• Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Process invoices with PO / Non-PO
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Ensure quality of AP processes, handling of all not compliant and not standard processes within the country
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers. Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Identify & implement AP improvements
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments cycle, GRIR reconciliations, Vendor advance etc
