GMV Spain is seeking engineers to contribute to the Galileo Programme ground segment. You will participate in software design and deployment, automating infrastructure and ensuring secure, reliable operations across critical space systems.

The role requires Linux basics, Python/Java skills, and Spanish listening comprehension. The position offers hybrid working, a relocation package, and ongoing career development opportunities.

Qualificações

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of our team, you will contribute to the development and operation of the Galileo Programme, Europe's satellite navigation constellation, participating in the evolution of the ground segment that supports one of the most ambitious and critical space infrastructures in Europe.

Among your main responsibilities, you will:

• Participate in software design and development activities for Galileo ground segment systems.
• Automate infrastructure and middleware deployments for Control Centre platforms.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
• Develop monitoring, operational and security tools.
• Perform application and service validation, testing and deployment activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the security, reliability and performance of critical systems.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary engineering activities spanning software development, systems administration, automation and DevOps practices.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering graduates, or candidates with a related background, with an interest in software development, systems administration, and technologies supporting critical infrastructures. We are looking for motivated candidates who are eager to learn and work with a wide range of technologies in a multidisciplinary environment.

The following skills are required:

• Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments.
• Basic programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• Aminimum level of Spanish listening comprehension is required. Candidates should be able to follow and understand conversations and meetings conducted in Spanish, although speaking and writing skills are not required.

In addition, will be considered a plus: familiarity with other programming languages, as well as basic knowledge of automation, scripting, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) concepts.
