GMV, a technology leader in GNSS, seeks a Software Engineering specialist to contribute to design, development and validation of nextgeneration GNSS technologies in a hybrid Lisbon-based team.

You will work on signal generation, processing and receiver development, translating requirements into robust software and building tests for robust performance across embedded systems and simulators.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in software development for satellite navigation.
• Proficient in C++ and multithreading; ability to develop robust software.
• Nice to have CUDA/OpenCL, Python, CI, and version control skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and maintain GNSS software components and simulations.
• Translate requirements into robust, testable software solutions.
• Develop software for experimentation platforms, simulators, and embedded systems.
• Create unit/integration tests and support system validation.
• Contribute to software architecture, docs and process improvements.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of next-generation GNSS technologies and applications, working on projects ranging from signal generation and processing to receiver development and advanced simulation platforms.

Your main tasks will be:

• Design, implement and maintain software components, tools and algorithms for GNSS signal generation, processing, receiver development and simulation.
• Translate technical requirements into robust, testable and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop software for experimentation platforms, simulators and real-time or embedded systems.
• Create unit tests, integration tests and performance benchmarks, and support system validation.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical documentation and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Perform root cause analysis of functional, performance and integration issues.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related degrees, with experience or a strong interest in software development for satellite navigation technologies.

Candidates should have knowledge of C++ and multithreading/multiprocessing programming, as well as the ability to develop robust and efficient software solutions.

In addition, will be considered a plus: knowledge of CUDA/OpenCL, Python, software design and development methodologies, object-oriented programming, software architecture and design patterns, testing and debugging techniques, continuous integration, automated testing, and version control tools such as Git.
