GMV is expanding its defense sector team to develop advanced maritime surveillance software. We seek a Junior Engineer eager to learn and grow in a high‑level technical environment, with opportunities to assume small team leadership over time.

You will work on critical software for maritime surveillance, using Java backend and JavaScript frontend, collaborating with engineers and testers, and contributing to AI-enabled real‑time data processing. Hybrid work and relocation options are available.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to tech fields; Master’s preferred.
• Proven interest in maritime surveillance and defense technologies.
• Experience or exposure to object‑oriented languages (Java, C#) preferred.
• Knowledge of web services, containerization (Docker) and database systems is a plus.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We are looking for a Junior Engineer eager to learn and grow professionally in a high-level technical environment. You will participate in the development of critical software solutions for maritime surveillance systems and, over time, you will be able to assume management responsibilities over small technical teams.

• Develop new functionalities in our systems using technologies such as Java (backend) and JavaScript (frontend).
• Participate in projects that integrate artificial intelligence components and real-time data processing.
• Collaborate closely with system engineers, analysts and test teams.
• Document solutions and participate in technical reviews.
• Gradually learn about task management, technical planning and team leadership.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, We are looking for graduates in industrial engineering, telecommunications, computer science or similar degrees with a background and interest in developing technology solutions for maritime surveillance and defense.

We will also value previous experience and programming knowledge in object-oriented languages Java, C#, web services, docker, postgres.

For this position, it is essential to have a higher qualification (Master's degree or equivalent).
