Decskill is expanding its team and seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to join our IT consulting group in Portugal. You will manage the lifecycle of software licenses, monitor licensing usage and identify optimization opportunities to reduce costs and risk.

The role requires 5+ years in SAM, strong analytical skills, ability to handle large data sets, and excellent communication with technical, financial and business teams.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and identify inconsistencies.
• Financial awareness and a strong focus on cost optimization.
• Ability to translate technical analysis into clear information and executive recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the lifecycle of software licenses and software assets.
• Monitor licenses across acquisition, assignment, installation and usage to identify discrepancies and opportunities for optimization.
• Support consulting activities by collecting evidence for compliance analyses and ELP assessments.
• Identify idle, underutilized, or unsuitable licenses based on usage profiles.
• Propose license reharvesting, downgrading, reuse and optimization actions focusing on cost efficiency.
• Monitor changes in licensing models and licensing metrics from major software vendors.
• Support renewal, procurement, true-up/true-down and vendor negotiation processes.
• Assist software vendor audits and compliance processes.
