iTRTech Group in Portugal is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (Mid) for a hybrid Porto-based role. The position requires 3+ years in SRE/DevOps, fluent English, and availability for 2 onsite days per week in Vila Nova de Gaia / Porto.

The salary range is €2100–€2400 gross per month. You will ensure availability, performance, and resilience of cloud-native platforms, implement observability, define SLOs/SLIs/SLAs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and improve production

Qualificações

• 3+ years in SRE, DevOps or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of on-call, incident response and change management.
• Experience with Linux and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and Splunk.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps; IaC with Terraform/Ansible.
• Backend with Node.js/NestJS and frontend with React/TypeScript; REST APIs.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or Kanban.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of cloud-native platforms and customer-facing services. The role combines software development and operations, using automation and observability to embed reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure platform availability, performance, reliability, and resilience through modern SRE practices.
• Implement end-to-end observability covering metrics, logs, and traces across distributed systems.
• Define and manage SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs in collaboration with product teams.
• Investigate bottlenecks, troubleshoot incidents, and proactively identify sources of instability.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate reliability early in the SDLC and automate operational activities.
• Align reliability practices and operational standards with Product, Architecture, Security, and Data teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in SRE, Systems Engineering, Operations, DevOps, or Full Stack/Software Development.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and production operations, including on-call support, incident response, and structured incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with Linux troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Splunk.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps; familiarity with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience developing backend services with Node.js and NestJS, frontend applications with React and TypeScript, and designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or Kanban. Preferred: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Associate certifications, Kubernetes certifications, or Infrastructure as Code certifications.
