Job summary

Nimber in Portugal is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join an international project in the banking sector, focused on the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of enterprise Service Management platforms. You'll work across multiple ServiceNow instances serving IT operations and business processes.

This role blends JavaScript development, platform configuration and application support, offering work on ITSM, portals and custom applications.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript development.
• Good understanding of web application development and integration principles.
• Experience developing, maintaining or supporting enterprise applications.
• Ability to investigate technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving existing solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and maintain applications and functionalities within the ServiceNow platform.
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for IT and business applications.
• Work with ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change and service catalogue management.
• Support the development and maintenance of user portals, service catalogues and custom business applications.
• Develop and customise platform functionalities using JavaScript.
• Work with REST APIs to support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
• Contribute to frontend customisation using HTML, CSS and AngularJS.
• Manage platform configuration, maintenance activities and technical improvements.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, ensuring platform stability and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with international IT teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
