Job summary

Welvaart is seeking a Senior Terraform & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer in Lisbon with hybrid work setup. You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, driving IaC best practices, governance, and automation in collaboration with DevOps, Cloud, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on with Terraform in production.
• Strong expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid knowledge of Terraform modules, workspaces, and remote backends.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Git workflows.
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
• Good understanding of Networking, IAM, and Cloud Security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable Terraform modules for scalable infra.
• Manage Terraform state, backends, workspaces, and state locking.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated provisioning.
• Implement Policy as Code and governance for security/compliance.
• Promote best practices for Git workflows and repository management.
• Integrate provisioning with secrets management like Vault or KMS.
