Job summary

OutSystems is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the creation and scale of the semantic layer across core business domains. You will transform the Canonical Data Model into governed semantic models, ensuring consistent metrics, definitions, and reusable structures for AI agents and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in data engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI development.
• Proven hands-on experience with semantic modeling for BI and governance.
• Strong SQL and dbt Core experience with CI-friendly project structure.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow) and Git-based workflows.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform (Snowflake preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build Semantic Models on top of the Canonical Data Model across domains.
• Apply Kimball dimensional modeling principles to shape semantic structures.
• Translate business definitions into governed metrics and metadata for AI agents and BI.
• Develop and maintain dbt models for transformation and staging layers.
• Manage deployment lifecycle for semantic assets with Git, CI, and Airflow.
• Define validation scenarios and ensure semantic outputs match certified metrics.
• Implement data quality controls and governance (RBAC, masking, etc.).
• Produce documentation for semantic models and governance.
