Praesto Portugal is part of the Praesto Consulting Group, a multinational consultancy with offices across several countries. We are growing our Salesforce practice in Portugal and seeking a Senior Salesforce Consultant to own end‑to‑end implementations for international clients.

You will configure systems, run workshops, mentor juniors, and collaborate with global teams. Occasional travel and remote-first work are available within Portugal.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience of Salesforce in a business environment, including Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud and Pardot.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data structures and deployment practices.
• Experience with requirement elicitation, user stories and testing plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and translate client requirements into Salesforce solutions.
• Own and implement Salesforce configurations, automation, and customisations (Apex, LWC).
• Design integrations with third-party tools and systems.
• Collaborate to define user stories, process maps, and testing plans.
• Support or lead data migration activities and user adoption efforts.

Role overview

As a Senior Salesforce Consultant, you’ll play a leading role in designing and delivering innovative Salesforce solutions. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end implementation process, from discovery to delivery, working directly with our international clients and cross-functional teams across the group.

You’ll be hands-on in configuring systems, running workshops, supporting data migrations, and mentoring junior consultants. For some projects, you’ll work solo; for others, you’ll collaborate with a Technical Director or other specialists across the group.

What you’ll do

• Lead discovery workshops and translate client requirements into Salesforce solutions
• Own and implement Salesforce configurations and automation (flows, permissions, data loads, etc.), as well as customisation (Apex, LWC, etc.)
• Design integrations with third-party tools and systems
• Collaborate with clients to define user stories, process maps, and testing plans
• Support or lead data migration activities
• Conduct training sessions and support user adoption
• Work across project phases including testing, deployment, and hypercare
• Contribute to the development of the Salesforce practice in Portugal

Skills and experience

• Extensive solution delivery experience, including solution design
• Functional knowledge of Salesforce data structure
• Familiarity with full project life cycle from requirements through to deployment
• Ability to run requirements elicitation sessions with the client and to write user stories and acceptance criteria to document the requirements
• Ability to run Business Process Mapping sessions with the client and to produce Business Process Maps as an output (As-is and To-be)
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical reality that is extendable and maintainable
• Writing and executing test scripts
• Ability to communicate well with customers of varying technical abilities
• Project management skills, and experience of working within delivery methodologies (essential)
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritise and elevate issues as required
• Ability to monitor budget burn against remaining effort
• Ability to accurately scope, plan and estimate the level of effort for tasks
• Team development and mentorship
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader and third-party integration tools such as Jitterbit

Technical skills

• At least 5 years’ experience of Salesforce in a business environment, including Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud and Pardot; Marketing Cloud is an advantage. More industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated technical and development experience with configuration, advanced administration, flows, permissions and profiles
• Understanding of query languages such as SQL and SOQL.

Industry and functional skills

• Previous consulting experience implementing Salesforce solutions
• Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud (formerly Communities Cloud)
• Experience with Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud and/or Pardot (Account Engagement)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in computer science or computer engineering, but other disciplines are considered
• Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Consultant certification as a minimum, Advanced Administrator preferred
• At least a year of professional testing/QA experience preferred
