Job summary

Buttimer Engineering Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor based in Sines, Portugal. You will oversee financial and contractual management for a major mechanical project, coordinating with the Main Contractor and subcontractors to safeguard schedule, budget and quality.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, 5+ years in a similar role, and strong knowledge of NEC/FIDIC contracts. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project and cost-management tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally in similar industry.
• Strong commercial awareness with knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Project and project cost management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial and contractual aspects of a large Mechanical Project as Subcontractor to a Main Contractor.
• Coordinate with Main Contractor and Subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Produce project cost reports, cash flows and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Identify and report cost overruns; manage variations and final accounts.
• Maintain records of contracts, notices and procurement activities.
