Job summary

act digital is seeking a skilled Tester / QA Engineer to structure, automate, and execute comprehensive testing workflows within our Lisbon team. You will drive test strategies, acceptance testing, and robust automation to ensure smooth enterprise releases.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on QA experience, expertise in test planning and reporting, and strong English communication. French at A2 or higher is a plus, and you will collaborate in an Agile environment from design through delivery.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on background in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
• Test Strategy definition, Acceptance Test Processes, and structured test execution.
• Automation: practical experience designing and executing automated test scripts.
• Reporting: tracking defects and compiling clear test progress reports.
• Languages: English is required; French at A2 level or above is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, document and execute the global Test Strategy across modules.
• Lead Acceptance Test Process and design test scenarios with detailed test cases.
• Develop, optimize and maintain Automation Test Scripts for CI and regression testing.
• Oversee defect tracking and communicate quality metrics with engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support quality from design to delivery.

What You Will Do

• Strategy & Planning: Define, document, and execute the global Test Strategy, ensuring broad functional test coverage and strict platform reliability.
• Acceptance & Execution: Lead the formal Acceptance Test Process, designing detailed test scenarios and executing test cases across complex application modules.
• Test Automation: Develop, optimize, and maintain Automation Test Scripts to drive efficiency in continuous integration and regression testing.
• Defect Tracking & Reporting: Oversee issue tracking, establish clear Test Progress Reporting, and communicate quality metrics directly with engineering teams and key stakeholders.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, helping ensure quality standards from early design through final delivery.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Solid hands‑on background in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
• Testing Methodologies: Proven expertise in Test Strategy definition, Acceptance Test Processes, and structured test execution.
• Automation: Practical experience designing and executing automated test scripts.
• Reporting: High precision in tracking defects and compiling clear test progress reports.
