Job summary

Shakers is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join the quality engineering team. You will design, build and maintain automated test suites across functional, integration and regression layers, and write BDD feature files with Cucumber. You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, analyze failures with the development team and contribute to performance testing.

The role is full-time, hybrid with 2–3 days on-site in Porto or Lisbon, Portugal. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
• 5 years in software testing, with at least 3 focused on test automation.
• Proficiency in Java, with solid object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Cypress and Playwright, and API testing with Postman and Rest Assured.
• Practical experience with BDD and Cucumber for writing and running feature files.
• CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
