AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer in Porto, Portugal, to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade software, with emphasis on performance, security, and code quality.

The role involves mentoring engineers, writing robust tests with Pytest, and driving best practices in Python development, including Docker-based containerization and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Competenze

• 4+ years of professional backend software development experience using Python.
• Deep understanding of Python core concepts (OOP, functional programming, memory management, async/concurrency, and data structures).
• API & Microservices: Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
• Databases: Strong proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Testing: Commitment to unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Pytest.
• Version Control: Advanced proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
