KCS IT is seeking an experienced Backend Developer (Python) to join our Porto-based hybrid team in Portugal. The role focuses on building scalable backends using Python, Django or FastAPI, and working with relational and non-relational databases.

You will design RESTful APIs, implement microservices, and collaborate with frontend colleagues while maintaining strong CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of backend experience, fluent English, and hands-on experience with Docker,

Qualificações

• 4–5 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer
• Strong knowledge of Python for backend development
• Experience with frameworks such as Django and/or FastAPI
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and good API design practices
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
• Fluent English (spoken and written) used daily
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience with automated testing (Pytest, unittest)
• Understanding of microservices architectures
• Familiarity with frontend development
