Devoteam is hiring a senior Python backend developer to design, build, and deploy scalable applications. You will work with front-end teams and architects to create robust backend services, APIs, and data models using SQL/NoSQL databases.

The role focuses on writing clean code, implementing tests, and advancing our cloud-enabled Python stack, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern tooling. Lisbon-based teams collaborate across EMEA in a diverse tech environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional Python experience with at least one web framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.).
• Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or Terraform is highly preferred.
• Docker expertise with containerization; certification is a strong advantage.
• Kubernetes familiarity is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket).
• Solid knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Proficiency in Linux environments, including scripting and system configuration.
• Strong expertise in Git and source code management.
• Understanding of scalable application design and threading/multi-processing in Python.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Python applications, modules, and scripts following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and system architects to implement robust backend functionalities.
• Design, optimize, and manage data models using SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to connect applications with external services.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical challenges for stability.
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables through testing.
• Stay updated with latest Python technologies, libraries, and frameworks to drive innovation.
