Job summary

Timestamp Group seeks an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to own the software development platform and CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring secure, reliable, high-quality software delivery. You will combine hands-on DevOps with strong ownership and a passion for automation and developer experience.

The role covers managing GitLab CI/CD, build agents, Maven, Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes, with a focus on security, observability, and operational excellence across AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in DevOps, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Extensive experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI/CD.
• Expert knowledge of Git, Linux (RHEL/ Rocky), and Bash/Python scripting.
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
• Containers/orchestration: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
• Java build ecosystem with Maven (POMs, plugins, releases).
• SQL/PostgreSQL and ETL, dashboards; AWS experience helpful.
• Proficient with AI coding assistants; DevSecOps and SBOM security.

Responsibilities

• Own the CI/CD ecosystem and templates across stacks.
• Administer and evolve the DevOps toolchain: GitLab, runners, build agents, repos.
• Operate Jira/Confluence on Amazon EKS.
• Embed security and quality into CI/CD with SBOMs and vulnerability management.
• Be the first point of contact for platform requests and issues.
• Maintain the engineering metrics platform and dashboards.
• Ensure platform reliability: backups, DR, incidents, RCA.
• Deliver training, docs, reports; mentor engineers; engage vendors.
