Job summary

GoCardless Ltd in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer III to lead technical engagements with partner ecosystems and banks, from discovery to live integration. You’ll design integration solutions, build demos, and guide partners through testing, launch, and success metrics, collaborating with the Partnerships team.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on API experience, strong debugging skills, and familiarity with OAuth, webhooks and multi-tenant platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pre-sales, post-sales or implementation engineer.
• Hands-on API experience: reading logs, debugging a failing request.
• Knowledge of OAuth, webhooks and common integration patterns.
• Programming skills in at least one common language.
• Solid understanding of how APIs and MCP servers work.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with prospective and existing partners and turn it into a clear solution design.
• Build and deliver demos and proofs of concept that show how bank payments work inside the partner's product.
• Guide partners through integration, testing and launch, including webhooks and go-live readiness.
• Work with Partnerships to qualify, shape and close partner opportunities.
• Create assets like guides, sample code, Postman collections and integration checklists.
• Keep ahead of how partners use our APIs with new tooling.
