AMGEN Capability Center Portugal in Lisbon seeks a Sr Machine Learning Engineer to lead end-to-end ML pipelines, build production-grade micro-services, and deliver enterprise-grade AI platforms. You will collaborate with DevOps, Security and Product teams to enable scalable, secure AI across the business.

The role requires hands-on experience with ML models, MLOps stacks, and modern AI tooling, plus strong Python/Java skills and cloud expertise.

Qualificações

• 3-5 years in AI/ML and enterprise software.
• Algorithms: regression, trees, time-series, transformers, LLMs.
• Experience selecting AI SaaS/PaaS offerings and building ML services at scale.
• GenAI tooling: vector databases, RAG pipelines, LangChain, Semantic Kernel.

Responsabilidades

• Engineer end-to-end ML pipelines and feature engineering.
• Harden research code into production-grade micro-services.
• Build and maintain full-stack AI applications for low-latency insights.
• Optimize performance and cost at scale with appropriate models and auto-scaling.
• Instrument observability with real-time metrics and tracing.
• Embed security and responsible-AI controls in partnership with Security/Compliance.
• Contribute reusable platform components like feature stores and model registries.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature ideation on high-dimensional data.
• Partner with data scientists to prototype and benchmark new algorithms.
