AMGEN Capability Center Portugal in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Associate Software Engineer to drive GenAI initiatives within the Applied AI team. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support LLM-powered assistants, agents, Custom GPTs, and RAG solutions on approved enterprise platforms.

You will build scalable pipelines, implement prompt strategies, and ensure secure, observable deployments while collaborating with global teams to advance the GenAI roadmap.

Qualificações

• Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's with 6+ years in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in software development or systems design.
• 2+ years building or supporting production GenAI apps (assistants, agents, Custom GPTs, RAG).
• Strong Python skills and experience delivering production-grade apps/APIs.
• Experience with prompt design, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval pipelines, and tool integration.
• Experience with cloud-native design on AWS (Bedrock/Lambda/EKS/ECS/API Gateway/IAM).
• Knowledge of secure RESTful/GraphQL integrations, OAuth, least privilege, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, testing, and observability.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript/React/Next.js is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration across global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support GenAI solutions (LLM assistants, agents, Custom GPTs, RAG) on enterprise platforms.
• Implement prompt/context strategies, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, tool calling, and orchestration with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Build scalable RAG pipelines grounded in enterprise data and ensure secure integrations.
• Contribute to GenAI capability roadmap and reusable integration patterns.
• Develop integration layers and event-driven workflows using APIs, RPA, n8n.
• Create reusable Python services and contribute TypeScript/React components when needed.
• Implement automated tests, tracing, and monitoring for quality and reliability.
• Ensure security best practices (prompt injection safeguards, data leakage prevention, access controls).
