Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to build multi-threaded, high-volume web applications using Kotlin/Java and the Spring Framework. You will help design cloud-native services and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Applicants should have 5+ years in backend development, strong Spring knowledge, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, and English at B2 level or above. Remote work is supported with a national scope in Portugal.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional Backend development experience with Kotlin/Java.
• Strong Spring Framework knowledge (Spring Webflux/MVC, Spring Cloud) and REST services.
• Proficient with Git, Maven, Gradle, JUnit, Mockito; experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (prefer AWS) and with CI/CD and build automation.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field; English with at least B2.

What will you do?

• Develop multi-threaded, high-volume transactional code for large-scale web applications.
• Design and implement robust cloud-native web services using Kotlin/Java and the Spring Framework.
• Collaborate in the definition and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and build & deploy automation.
• Analyze complex business challenges to propose and implement simplicity-seeking technical solutions.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies and modern software development methodologies.

What are we looking for?

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on Kotlin or Java.
• Profound knowledge and hands‑on experience with the Spring Framework (Spring, Spring Webflux/MVC, Spring Cloud) and building RESTful Services.
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Maven, Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level or above) and eligibility to work in Portugal.
