K2 Partnering Solutions is seeking a data engineering contractor to bring an automotive OEM data pipeline into production, focusing on scaling ingestion, mapping to client entities, and distribution to downstream systems.

This hybrid role in Lisbon requires hands-on Java backend development (Java 17+), microservices architecture, and experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ; the contract spans 12 months with a freelancer arrangement.

Qualificações

• Proven agentic engineering experience, including configuring AI coding environments (rules, skills, instruction files) and orchestrating multiple agents.
• Java backend development with Java 17+; Java 21/25 preferred, including records, sealed classes and virtual threads.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with Spring / Spring Boot.

Responsabilidades

• Ingest data from multiple sources and formats, standardise and map it to client entities.
• Distribute data to downstream systems such as e-commerce, bookings, fleet management, and operations.
• Maintain a data-intensive environment with a focus on data quality over latency.

It involves ingesting data from multiple sources and formats, standardising and mapping it to client entities, and distributing it to downstream systems such as e-commerce, bookings, fleet management, and operations.

It is a data-intensive environment where data quality is more critical than latency.

Requirements
