Job summary

Shift4 seeks a finance/audit professional in Porto to execute SOX 404b testing and support control design assessments across our global operations. You will develop structured audit documentation and engage with control owners to remediate issues.

Responsibilities include coordinating with external auditors during SOX cycles and contributing to Global Blue’s internal control framework. A master’s in economics/finance is required, with 2–3 years in audit and IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics or finance.
• 2–3 years in the audit field; Big 4 experience a plus.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; US GAAP a plus.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel 10–20%.
• Certifications such as CISA or CIA are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute SOX 404b testing

• Perform control testing and documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness
• Engage with and support control owners on control execution, design deficiencies, and remediation actions
• Prepare clear and structured audit documentation, including: workpapers, testing results, findings, and observations
• Support coordination with external auditors during SOX testing cycles
• Participate in the development of Global Blue’s internal control framework

Profile & Experience:

• Master’s degree in economics or finance
• 2-3 years of experience in the audit field (Big 4 experience is a plus)
• Robust knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (US GAAP is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, international, and evolving environment
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to travel up to 10-20%
• Relevant certifications (CISA, CIA, etc.) are a plus
