About the Role

As a Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications that support Shift4's business and customer-facing solutions. Your main focus will be on building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications using Angular while working closely with backend developers, architects, product owners, and QA engineers.

You will play a key role in delivering new features, improving application performance, ensuring code quality, and supporting the continuous evolution of our products. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies in an agile environment and contribute to solutions used worldwide.

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred)
• Deep understanding of Angular architecture and core concepts: Components, Modules, Services, Dependency Injection, Routing, Guards, Pipes, Directives, Reactive Forms.
• Strong experience with RxJS and reactive programming concepts.
• Experience implementing state management solutions (NgRx, Redux patterns, or similar).
• Understanding of lazy loading, performance optimization, and code splitting.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests for Angular applications.
• Expertise in .NET Technologies is a nice-to-have.

Qualifications and education requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Angular development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience delivering complex web applications from design to production.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in international and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Location:

• Be currently located in Portugal and legally authorized to work in Portugal.
• Be available to work in a hybrid model, attending our Porto office two times per month.
