Job summary

Global Blue by Shift4 in Porto is seeking an Auditor to join the Internal Audit team. The role focuses on strengthening internal controls and supporting SOX compliance within a NYSE-listed environment, collaborating with stakeholders and testing controls to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Audit, Internal Controls, or Risk Management.
• Big 4 experience is a plus; strong IFRS knowledge and US GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOX 404(b) testing activities across the organization.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Perform control testing and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
• Partner with control owners to strengthen control execution and support remediation efforts.
• Prepare clear, concise audit documentation including workpapers, test results, findings, and observations.
• Support coordination with external auditors during SOX testing cycles.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of Global Blue's internal control framework.
• Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and operational excellence.

What you will do. A glimpse into your role: We're looking for an Auditor to join our growing Internal Audit team in Porto.

In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening our internal control environment and supporting SOX compliance within a NYSE-listed organisation. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, perform independent testing, assess control effectiveness, and help identify and mitigate risks to support our continued success.

Key competencies to empower your journey.

You’ll drive towards success if you:

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in Audit, Internal Controls, or Risk Management
• Previous experience within a Big 4 environment is considered an advantage
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (US GAAP knowledge is a plus)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Close attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, international, and fast-evolving environment
• Fluency in English
• Availability to travel up to 10-20% when required
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus
• Location: Be legally authorised to work in Portugal
• Currently reside in Portugal
• Be available to work in a hybrid model, attending our Porto office on a weekly basis
