Indra Group is expanding its Space Engineering team in Lisbon, recruiting a Senior GNSS Receiver Engineer to design and implement real‑time GNSS receiver software for embedded platforms. You will participate in architecture design, prototyping, and rigorous testing with RF simulators, reporting to the Space Engineering leadership.

The role requires hands‑on experience with GNSS receivers, embedded RTOS/Linux, C programming, and strong collaboration with multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualificações

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• Knowledge of GNSS systems and receivers architecture.
• Experience in embedded systems and real‑time software for GNSS receivers.
• C programming with multithreading and data structures.
• Linux/UNIX development environment and Git repositories.
• Software engineering methods; documentation; stakeholder management and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Development of real‑time software (SW) applications for embedded GNSS Receiver systems.
• Contribute to design review, prototyping and implementation of GNSS receiver algorithms on SoC (System‑on‑Chip) platforms.
• Verification and validation procedures for a GNSS receiver.
• Work with laboratory instrumentation and RF Constellation Signal simulators (e.g., Skydel, LabSat).

Qualifications

• A recognized engineering or master’s degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of GNSS systems.
• Experience in GNSS receivers architecture and signal processing.
• Working experience with embedded systems and real‑time software in particular for GNSS receivers.
• Embedded software development.
• Demonstrated programming skills in C, including multithreading programming and data structures.
• Good knowledge of the LINUX/UNIX programming environment.
• Familiarity with repositories such as GIT.
• Software engineering methods and techniques.
• Experience working in a customer‑facing environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
• Writing formal technical documentation.
• Capability to act as a technical manager.

Other Skills

• Familiar with FPGA platforms.
• PNT and Navigation.
• Other programming languages: Matlab and/or Python.
• Unified Modelling Language.
• Development methodologies: waterfall, iterative, agile scrum, MBD, etc.
• Continuous integration experience.
