Indra Group is hiring a Software Engineer for E2E systems in Portugal to join its Space Engineering team. You will design and implement software modules using CI/CD, contribute to Agile development in Python and other languages, and analyze remote sensing datasets.

The role also involves validation campaigns, test plan definition, performance assessment, and supporting documentation, reviews, and customer interactions. JIRA experience is a plus.

Qualificações

• Engineering or master’s degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or C++ and knowledge of ML.
• Experience with software development practices and coding standards.
• Experience using Git as version control.
• Good level of English (spoken and written).
• Nice-to-have: Docker, Kubernetes, Jupyter notebooks, distributed systems, satellite data.

  • The candidate will be part of a team and will have as main objectives the learning of key technology concepts on remote sensing, in particular Quality control, Calibration and Data Harmonisation/fusion
  • Initially, the evolution of Data processing algorithms, Calibration and Quality Control Tools within the FLEX missionData Innovation Science Cluster (DISC).

What are we looking for?

• A recognized engineering or master’s degree (Aerospace, Telecommunications) or a related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths)
• The candidate shall have a background and experience covering the following areas:
• Python /Java/C++ programming languages
• Knowledge in Machine Learning
• Understanding of software development practices and coding standards
• Experience using versioning control tools such as GIT.
• Good level of English (spoken and written)
• The following requirements are highly appreciated:
  • Experience with Jupyter notebooks and/or unit testing.
  • Knowledge of deployment techniques using containers (Docker, kubernetes, ..)
  • Understanding of Distributed System architectures and Virtualization.
  • Work done with satellite data or Remote Sensing datasets.
