Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking an experienced Order-to-Cash leader to drive end-to-end O2C operations in Porto. You will oversee order management, billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution, while aligning with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 5–7 years in O2C/Finance Operations, leadership experience, and fluent German with advanced English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years' experience in O2C, AR or Finance Operations with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday).
• Experience with global, multi-currency environments.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and advanced English (C1).
• Willingness to relocate to Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and perform O2C operations: order management, billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and review AR ageing reports, drive collection strategies and reduce DSO.
• Resolve escalated disputes and negotiate payment terms with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX and internal controls, IFRS and tax requirements.
• Drive process automation, standardisation and efficiency improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and reporting to senior management.
• Train and mentor junior O2C specialists.
• Work with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams.
