Job summary

Cross Border Talents in Porto, Portugal, invites a Senior O2C Specialist fluent in German and English to join our international finance team. You will own the end-to-end O2C process, drive cash collection, and optimize billing and dispute resolution.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in O2C or finance operations, proven leadership, and strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday). This role offers growth, a hands-on environment, and relocation support if needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
5–7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and O2C processes.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Fluent German and advanced English (C1).

Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end Order-to-Cash cycle, including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
Monitor accounts receivable performance, analyse ageing reports, and develop strategies to reduce outstanding payments.
Resolve complex customer disputes and negotiate payment terms with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, IFRS, and internal policies.
Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and management reporting.
Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and process improvement.
Mentor junior specialists and collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax teams.
