Job summary

Cross Border Talents in Porto seeks a Senior O2C Specialist to lead end-to-end O2C operations, including billing, collections, and disputes, while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance in a global business setting.

You will mentor junior team members, manage stakeholder relationships, and work across Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax to optimize working capital. Strong German and English skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years in O2C / AR / Finance Operations; at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Deep knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls, IFRS, and tax implications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday).
• Exposure to global multi-currency environments.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• German language proficiency (spoken and written) and advanced English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform O2C operations: order management, billing, collections, cash application, disputes.
• Prepare AR aging reports, drive collections, reduce DSO.
• Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships, resolve escalated disputes, negotiate terms.
• Ensure compliance with Audit/SOX/internal controls, IFRS, and tax.
• Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, reporting to management.
• Train and mentor junior O2C specialists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Logistics, Treasury, Tax).
