Axians Portugal is seeking a seasoned Functional Analyst to understand the needs of healthcare professionals and translate them into precise IT specifications for clinical and administrative systems in Portugal.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers, ensuring solutions comply with regulatory requirements and digital transformation initiatives across the Portuguese healthcare sector, with hybrid onsite presence in Lisbon.

Project Scope

You will be responsible for understanding and analysing the needs of healthcare professionals and organizations, identifying business requirements, and translating them into functional specifications for IT solutions.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers, you will ensure that solutions align with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives across the Portuguese healthcare sector.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.


• Proven experience in Healthcare projects in Portugal.


• Strong knowledge of healthcare business processes, workflows, and information systems.


• Experience gathering requirements, modelling processes, and producing functional documentation.


• Ability to bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.


• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.


• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent Level 6 qualification according to the Portuguese National Qualifications Framework).


• Hands‑on experience in projects within the Portuguese Healthcare sector.


• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and operational processes will be highly valued.


• Fluency in Portuguese.


• Availability to work in a hybrid model, with on‑site presence in Lisbon 2 to 3 times per week.

Preferred Experience

• Projects involving public healthcare entities (SNS).


• Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Applications, or Healthcare Integration Platforms.


• Digital transformation initiatives within healthcare organizations.


• Business Analysis: Ability to understand complex healthcare processes and translate them into functional requirements.


• Communication: Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.


• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
