Elevus Tech is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to interpret client needs, draft business and functional requirements, and define User Stories according to client requirements.

You will model business processes using BPMN and UML, define and monitor acceptance tests to ensure deliverable quality, and actively participate in user training while aligning all stakeholders. Documentation in JIRA and Confluence is essential; occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and understanding the client’s needs, drawing up the specification of the project’s business and functional requirements.
• Define and write User Stories according to the client’s needs.
• Manage priorities efficiently, keeping the focus on results.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Modelling business processes using techniques and notations such as BPMN and UML.
• Defining and monitoring acceptance tests to guarantee the quality of deliverables.
• Actively participating in user training and promoting alignment between the parties involved in the project.
• Ensure documentation of projects and activities in tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Availability for occasional travel as required.

Skills And Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills, logical thinking, attention to detail and ability to summarise.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word and Excel).
• Experience in using project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of data modelling and CMMI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or higher in computer science, management, maths or related areas, from a university (not a polytechnic).
• At least 5 years’ experience in functional analysis, preferably in IT projects in the public sector.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of and experience in business process modelling, applying notations such as BPMN and UML.
• Proactivity, capacity for initiative and dynamism.
• Experience in training users and monitoring acceptance processes.
