Swiss Life Asset Managers in Lisbon is seeking a hands‑on Senior Frontend Engineer to contribute to Investment Solutions, a strategic product delivering a modern and reliable digital experience for investors and clients.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and business analysts, taking ownership of features, mentoring others, and driving technical excellence while thriving in an international, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of frontend experience with TypeScript in a browser environment.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation, and modern frontend frameworks; SvelteKit preferred.
• Experience with Git, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and ability to mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to collaborate in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces with strong performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain well-tested, secure code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features.
• Take ownership of technical solutions and address technical debt and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and troubleshooting.

As we continue to expand our European operations, we are creating new positions in Portugal to support our teams, and we are looking for a a hands‑on Senior Frontend Engineer to join the team responsible for Investment Solutions, a strategic product at Swiss Life Asset Managers. Investment Solutions is the central portal through which investors and clients can explore Swiss Life Asset Managers' investment vehicles and monitor the evolution of their portfolios. As a core business product, it plays a key role in delivering a modern, intuitive, and reliable digital experience to our clients. In this role, you will contribute directly to the product's development, helping drive technical excellence through hands‑on coding while also supporting and mentoring other team members with your experience. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product owner, and business analyst to deliver high‑quality solutions that create value for our users. Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces while ensuring excellent performance and usability.
• Design, implement, and maintain well-tested, maintainable, and secure code following engineering best practices.

• Take ownership of technical solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and proactively address technical debt and code quality improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable software delivery.

Experience

• Several years of experience developing frontend applications with TypeScript in a browser environment.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation, and modern frontend frameworks, ideally including SvelteKit.
• Experience with modern software development practices and tools, including Git, code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Comfortable working in Unix-based environments, including WSL on Windows.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, international teams.
