Job summary

Partner Company in Portugal seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Data Search to advance large-scale creator discovery. You will work on end-to-end search systems, embedding pipelines, and multimodal data processing, balancing latency, accuracy, and cost.

You’ll lead architecture decisions, own features from discovery to production, and collaborate across data, product, engineering, customers, and leadership in a fast, async-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in building large-scale data/search products.
• Experience taking initiatives from concept to production, with measurement.
• Strong background in distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with LLM-powered or agentic features in production.

Responsibilities

• Improve creator discovery across massive datasets and media assets.
• Design systems that generate multimodal embeddings and perform large-scale retrieval.
• Build new search capabilities balancing quality, latency, scalability, and cost.
• Own problems end-to-end from requirements to deployment and measurement.
• Diagnose relevance and performance issues across data, queries, models, and product decisions.
• Evaluate new models/tech and their tradeoffs for search improvements.
• Collaborate with data/product/engineering/customers to broaden datasets and capabilities.
• Contribute to technical direction and maintain scalable production services.
