Intermedia is seeking a Sr. Software Developer with a data focus to join our team in Portugal, with a hybrid work model and occasional visits to Coimbra or Aveiro.

You will build scalable cloud-native services in Java (Spring Boot) and work deeply with SQL-based data systems. You will design and implement high-performance data pipelines, collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts, and help modernize our platform while supporting legacy systems.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of backend or data-focused software development.
• Strong Java with Spring Boot for microservices.
• Solid SQL, relational DB design, performance tuning.
• Experience building/consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data integration.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Unit/integration testing experience; Kubernetes with Helm.
• Desirable: Snowflake and dbt; cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build data ingestion, processing, and access services for high-volume workloads.
• Integrate with modern cloud data platforms and legacy systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance across systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD processes.
• Write unit, integration, and data tests to support reliable delivery.
• Contribute to modernization by replacing legacy components with cloud-native services.
• Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes using Helm.
