LGG Advisors is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with MS Fabric experience to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade data platforms for clients across finance and tech sectors. The role demands leadership in data engineering initiatives, with a focus on modern cloud data architectures and governance.

Based in Portugal with offices in Porto/Lisbon, you will work in hybrid mode on complex client transformation programs, mentoring junior engineers and delivering end-to-end data solutions

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or Data Architecture.
• Minimum 2 years’ proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric across the end-to-end data lifecycle.
• Proven implementation of Medallion Architecture in production environments.
• Experience with Lakehouse, Warehouse, DataFactory, and Power BI Semantic Models.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and modern cloud data architectures.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Experience implementing data governance, security, and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and enterprise architecture principles.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade data platforms utilizing Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
• Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for scalable and governed analytic solutions.
• Build, optimize and maintain end-to-end data pipelines covering all stages of the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, quality, modeling, analytics.
• Develop solutions using Fabric Data Factory OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT processes and data models supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Implement best practices in data governance, security, quality, lineage, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, product owners, and client stakeholders in agile environments.
• Document technical designs and communicate architecture decisions effectively.
