LGG is looking to expand its Digital & AI team with aSenior Data Engineer who will work with clients in the design, implementation,modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms. This roleis designed for a senior professional with 5+ years of experience who is readyto lead data engineering initiatives while contributing to complex clienttransformation programs.
Description
- Design, migrate and implement moderncloud-native data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and similar platforms,accelerating data-driven transformation.
- Work in complex, fast-paced environments withstrong learning, mentoring and development opportunities.
- Contribute to client-facing data engineeringsolutions for the financial services industry.
- Drive best practices in data architecture,governance, quality, security and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise-gradedata platforms utilizing Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture(Bronze, Silver, and Gold) for support scalable and governed analyticssolutions.
- Build, optimize and maintain end-to-end datapipelines covering all stages of the data lifecycle: Data ingestion; Datatransformation; Data orchestration; Data storage; Data quality and monitoring;Data modeling; Analytics and reporting enablement.
- Develop solutions using Fabric Data FactoryOneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
- Design scalable ETL/ELT processes and datamodels supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Implement best practices in data governance,security, quality, lineage, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, productowners, and client stakeholders in agile environments.
- Document technical designs and communicatearchitecture decisions effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Engineering, ora related field.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, DataPlatform Development, or Data Architecture.
- Minimum 2 years’ proven hands-on experience withMicrosoft Fabric across the end-to-end data lifecycle.
- Proven implementation of Medallion Architecturein production environments.
- Experience with Lakehouse, Warehouse, DataFactory, and Power BI Semantic Models
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, andmodern cloud data architectures.
- Strong understanding of data modeling anddimensional modeling concepts.
- Experience implementing data governance,security, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services andenterprise architecture principles.
- Experience working in agile deliveryenvironments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, andcommunication skills.
Differential:
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate(DP-700) certification.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AzureSynapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure SQL.
- Experience supporting analytics, AI, or machinelearning workloads.
- Experience within financial services,consulting, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DataOps, and DevOpspractices.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leadingtechnical workstreams.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code toolssuchas Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
