Axians Portugal is seeking a Business Analyst to join a strategic transformation initiative within a global banking environment. You will bridge business and technology teams, ensuring requirements are captured and translated into actionable solutions focusing on data ecosystems and integrations.

You will collaborate with developers, define test strategies including IST/UAT, manage backlogs, and support data quality and governance initiatives while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in IT.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements, user stories, use cases, and business rules.

Responsabilidades

• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs to align with MVP objectives and project goals.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a strategic transformation initiative within a global banking environment. You will play a key role in bridging business and technology teams, ensuring requirements are properly captured, analyzed, and translated into impactful solutions. This opportunity focuses on the evolution of data ecosystems and integration capabilities, leveraging modern technologies such as APIs and data virtualization to improve data accessibility, consistency, and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder interactions.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs to ensure alignment with project objectives and MVP delivery.
• Analyze existing business processes and define future‑state workflows to improve operational efficiency and time‑to‑market.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and support implementation activities.
• Define testing strategies and prepare complex Integration System Testing (IST) scenarios, ensuring successful validation of data flows and integrations.
• Coordinate Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and support end users during validation phases.
• Manage defect tracking and resolution through tools such as ALM Octane and Jira.
• Perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies, root causes, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Support initiatives focused on data quality, governance, and consistency across multiple data sources and referential systems.

Your Main Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within an IT environment.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, use cases, and business rules.
• Knowledge of process modeling methodologies such as BPMN or UML.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including backlog refinement and sprint management.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery frameworks.
• Experience defining and executing testing strategies, including Integration System Testing (IST), regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, data virtualization concepts, and complex data flows.
• Experience performing data analysis, investigating data quality issues, and identifying root causes.
• Hands‑on experience with ALM Octane, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Attention to detail, organization, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluency in English.
