Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to define, implement, and maintain engineering standards across Data & AI platforms. You will guide teams in designing scalable, production-ready data solutions aligned with enterprise Architecture, Security, Governance, and FinOps.

You will drive adoption of Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric across data pipelines and governance, while mentoring engineers and contributing to platform strategy and modernization

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Engineering or Cloud/Data & AI platforms.
• Strong Azure and modern Data & AI ecosystem experience.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks, Fabric, Purview, Unity Catalog, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain engineering standards for Data & AI.
• Guide teams in design, development, and operation of scalable data solutions.
• Ensure alignment with Architecture, Security, Governance, and FinOps.
• Drive adoption of Data & AI platform capabilities across Azure, Databricks, Fabric.
• Establish platform standards for data pipelines, governance, and observability.
• Promote CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform operations.
