Job summary

Decskill is growing its IT team and seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to ensure scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure. The role emphasizes AWS expertise, Terraform for automation, and strong CI/CD discipline in a hybrid work model.

You will work with a community of professionals across Lisbon, Porto, and Madrid, contributing to impactful technology initiatives and long-term career growth in an international context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, SQS, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with cloud automation using Terraform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux administration and automation skills.
• Experience operating Kubernetes in production and containerizing with Docker.
• Experience configuring Nginx reverse proxies and OpenVPN connectivity.
• Ability to define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and implement observability.
• Experience disaster recovery design and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the scalability, reliability and performance of cloud systems.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple services.
• Operate Kubernetes in production and containerize applications with Docker.
• Configure and maintain Nginx reverse proxies and OpenVPN connectivity.
• Define and monitor SLIs and SLOs and implement end-to-end observability.
• Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning in collaboration with teams.
• Optimize auto-scaling policies to ensure API stability and reliability.
• Support multi-tenant architectures and collaborate in Agile environments.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps practices, ensuring the scalability, reliability and performance of cloud systems.


• Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, SQS, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch and networking.


• Hands-on experience with cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.


• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.


• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting and automation skills.


• Experience operating Kubernetes in production and containerizing applications with Docker.


• Experience configuring and maintaining Nginx reverse proxies and OpenVPN connectivity.


• Ability to define and monitor SLIs and SLOs and implement end-to-end observability.


• Experience eliminating single points of failure, leading incident response and designing disaster recovery strategies.


• Experience optimizing auto-scaling policies, ensuring API stability and implementing reliability patterns.


• Experience supporting multi-tenant architectures.


• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.


• Full proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation.
