Decskill in Lisbon is looking for a Technical Lead Cloud AWS to drive the migration of the data platform from Azure to AWS and to shape the next generation of data services. You will lead cloud architecture decisions, partner with the development teams, and ensure scalable, secure solutions across the data platform.

The role requires deep AWS expertise, 10+ years in technology, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across international teams.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with global teams and in collaborative environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud.

Responsabilidades

• Define and validate data architectures on AWS ensuring alignment with best practices and security standards.
• Design data platform solutions including data lakes, ingestion/processing pipelines, and integrations with development teams.
• Advise on AWS service choices to ensure efficiency, scalability and cost optimization.
• Ensure data governance practices including access control and data quality.
• Track project budget and align development effort with procurement and vendor invoices.

We are looking for an Technical Lead Cloud AWS!

Mission:

We are launching a pilot project to migrate our data platform from Azure to AWS.

This initiative, which complements our ongoing product development efforts, requires the addition of a Technical Lead with specialized expertise in AWS, strong experience in data systems architecture and cloud platforms, and the ability to support the evolution of the new Data Platform on AWS.

Responsabilities:

• Support in defining and validating data architectures on AWS, ensuring alignment with best practices, internal standards, and security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Design of data platform solutions, including data lakes, ingestion/processing pipelines, and system integration, working closely with the development team.
• Support for technology decisions regarding AWS services, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Ensuring data governance practices, including access control and data quality.
• Management and control component.
• Track the application product budget, including monitoring and controlling effort and development team allocation.
• Validate and track supplier invoices, ensuring consistency with the effort and work performed.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams.
• Ability for critical analysis and focused on problem solving.
• Commitment to quality of deliveries.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA and Confluence tools (valued).
• Knowledge of application technologies.
• "Hands-on" experience with cloud AWS.
• Experience with designing complex solutions.
• Good level of English.
