Job summary

eXalt Fi in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 7+ years' experience in capital markets IT. The role is hybrid, with two days on-site weekly, and focuses on front-office IT support for FX traders and sales.

You will own topics end to end, from requirements gathering to delivery, analyze issues with developers, run SQL queries, and build small Python scripts to speed up checks. Fluent English is mandatory; French is a plus.

Qualifications

Permanent Contract or B2B | Hybrid (2 days/week on-site) | Porto, Portugal

Senior profile: 7+ years of experience in capital markets IT required.

• Front office: Gather and shape enhancement requests from FX traders and sales.
• Ownership: Lead your topics end to end, from analysis to delivery, with autonomy.
• Investigation: Analyse technical issues with developers, parse logs with Unix commands and run SQL queries.
• Automation: Build small Python scripts to speed up analysis and checks.
• Agile delivery: Write user stories, test and validate releases within an Agile team.
• Experience: 7+ years as a Business Analyst in capital markets / front office IT.
• Markets: Solid knowledge of market players and financial products.
• FX: Forex products and/or electronic trading experience (FIX, OMS, pricing a plus).
• Technical: SQL and Unix/Linux; Python is a plus.
• Languages: Fluent English (mandatory). French is a plus.
• Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Porto, with the right to work in Portugal.
