Reach IT is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a Product Squad within an international financial services environment in Lisbon.

You will translate business needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborating with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, architects, UX, software and DevOps teams in a fully Agile setting.

The role covers discovery through delivery, release and production monitoring, with emphasis on stakeholder management and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in financial services.
• Proven experience in an Agile environment, with strong Scrum knowledge.
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with process analysis and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst

To join a Product Squad within an international financial services environment, working closely with Product Managers/Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Stakeholders, Solution/Technical Architects, UX, Software and DevOps teams.

The role focuses on bridging business needs, requirements, processes and product delivery, contributing throughout the product lifecycle — from discovery and analysis to delivery, release and production monitoring.

This is a hands-on position for someone who can understand complex business needs, challenge requirements constructively and translate them into clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, while working closely with cross-functional teams in a fully Agile environment.

Skills

• +5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within financial services;
• Proven experience working in a fully Agile environment, with strong knowledge of Scrum;
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation;
• Ability to translate business needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria;
• Experience working closely with Product Managers/Product Owners and Scrum Masters throughout the product lifecycle;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and clarify business needs;
• Experience with process analysis, modelling and continuous improvement;
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work with data, KPIs and business information;
• Experience collaborating with Solution/Technical Architects, UX, Software and DevOps teams;
• Knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, release management and production support;
• Previous experience in Banking, Financial Services, Wealth Management or Asset Management is highly valued;
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers/Owners and Scrum Masters to understand, analyse and clarify business needs;
• Participate in product discovery and requirements analysis, identifying business needs, processes, dependencies and opportunities;
• Translate business requirements into epics, user stories and clear acceptance criteria;
• Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews and other Agile ceremonies;
• Work closely with technical and cross-functional teams to ensure that business requirements are correctly understood and translated into viable solutions;
• Challenge assumptions and requirements when necessary, proactively seeking clarification and proposing alternative solutions;
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for product and process optimisation;
• Collaborate with Solution/Technical Architects, UX, Software and DevOps throughout product delivery;
• Support the definition and execution of testing and acceptance activities, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business expectations;
• Contribute to the release management and production monitoring, following issues and feedback after deployment;
• Ensure traceability between business needs, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivered solutions;
• Communicate risks, dependencies, decisions and delivery progress to business and technical stakeholders;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of product, analysis and Agile delivery practices.
