Job summary

Nimber in Lisbon is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technical solutions across an international environment. You will gather user requirements, translate them into functional specs, support testing, deployments, and ensure quality documentation using JIRA and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst in a complex environment, preferably financial services.
• Knowledge of Front Office and Middle Office workflows, including P&L, trading, valuation, booking, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial products, including credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, cash, FX, and options.
• Experience in testing and mapping business processes and protocols.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• French language skills (B2) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are looking for a

Business Analyst

to bridge business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders and development teams in an international environment. The role involves gathering and translating user needs into functional specifications, supporting technical specifications, defining and executing functional and regression tests, coordinating deployments, contributing to incident resolution, and ensuring high-quality documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and translate business and user needs into detailed functional specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams in the translation of functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Develop test cases and contribute to automated non-regression testing.
• Validate solutions with end users and ensure business requirements are correctly addressed.
• Participate in workload estimation for development and testing activities.
• Coordinate production deployment activities and ensure smooth implementation.
• Contribute to third-level support by analyzing existing systems, monitoring incident resolution, and troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using tools such as JIRA and Confluence .
• Develop a strong understanding of the applications and systems supporting the business processes.
