Job summary

Nimber seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic, international financial services environment. You will bridge business stakeholders and IT delivery, ensuring solutions meet operational and strategic needs.

Working in an Agile/hybrid delivery framework, you will join cross-functional teams through requirements elicitation, UAT and production rollout, while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to BA practice improvements.

Fluent English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Translate complex business needs into clear, structured functional specifications and user stories.
• Experience managing and prioritizing a change request backlog in alignment with business expectations.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and production support processes.
• Ability to conduct deep impact analysis, considering legacy systems and dependencies.
• Ability to identify and evaluate reporting and analytics tools suited to business needs.
• Good understanding of the end-to-end development process, from business requirements to production deployment.
• Exposure to financial systems or platforms (payments, asset management, banking core) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, and third-party vendors.
• Adapt communication style for technical vs. non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate business user interviews and workshops.
• Primary point of contact between development teams and product stakeholders.
• Train and mentor business users and junior analysts on delivered solutions.
• Structured, rigorous, and detail-oriented in documentation.
• Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
• Collaborative team player with continuous improvement mindset.
• Curious and up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• English – Fluent (mandatory) / French – appreciated.

Business & Functional

• Strong capability in end-to-end process analysis and functional design Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, structured functional specifications and user stories;
• Experience managing and prioritizing a change request backlog in alignment with business expectations;
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and production support processes;
• Capacity to conduct deep impact analysis, taking legacy systems and dependencies into account.

Technical Aptitude

• Comfortable working with SQL or similar tools for report creation and data extraction;
• Ability to identify and evaluate reporting and analytics tools suited to business needs;
• Good understanding of the end-to-end development process, from business requirements to production deployment;
• Exposure to financial systems or platforms (e.g. payments, asset management, banking core systems) is a plus.

Stakeholder & Communication

• Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT, and third-party vendors;
• Ability to adapt communication style depending on the audience (technical vs. non-technical);
• Experience facilitating business user interviews and workshops;
• Comfortable acting as the primary point of contact between development teams and product stakeholders;
• Ability to train and mentor business users and junior analysts on delivered solutions.
