Job summary

Rumos Consulting is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT consulting team in Portugal. You will drive end-to-end process analysis, define functional design, and translate business needs into clear specifications and user stories.

You will manage and prioritize change request backlogs while coordinating with stakeholders across business and technical teams. We value fluent English, rigorous problem solving, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Information Technology or a similar field.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Experience in end-to-end process analysis and functional design.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Experience managing and prioritizing backlogs of change requests.
• Knowledge of the application lifecycle, production support and impact analysis, including legacy systems and dependencies.
• Proficiency in SQL or similar tools for reporting and data extraction.
• Good knowledge of the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirements through to production deployment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with different audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Experience conducting interviews and workshops with business users and liaising between development teams and product stakeholders
• Ability to train and support business users and junior analysts
• Fluency in English
• Structured, rigorous and detail-oriented, proactive in identifying problems and proposing solutions
• Collaborative spirit, commitment to continuous improvement and interest in industry trends and best practices
