Job summary

HN Services Portugal is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer – Banking (Lisbon) to join our production support team. You will handle incidents, monitor performance and ensure 24/7 service availability for critical banking applications and data platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT Operations or Application Support, strong Linux (RHEL), Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes skills, plus cloud, IaC and CI/CD experience. The role involves on-call shifts and DR readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT Operations, Application Support or production support.
• Experience in a banking/financial services environment is preferred.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) and scripting skills (Python/Bash).
• Hands-on with Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes for infra automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for banking apps and data platforms.
• Manage incidents and service requests, meeting SLOs.
• Analyze logs to troubleshoot issues and improve stability.
• Monitor services and contribute to DR exercises and readiness.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts.
• Support containerised environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Dev, Infra and Ops teams to improve incident mgmt.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and shift work.
