Velenosi&Meredith in Portugal is seeking a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to build and evolve the backend services powering a next-generation Autonomous Mobile Robot platform. This role is ~80% hands-on, focused on distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platform development, with production-grade code written daily.

You will develop high-performance backend services in Rust and Python, design REST APIs for fleet management and real-time monitoring, and collaborate

Qualificações

• Strong backend engineering experience with production-grade distributed systems.
• Proficient in Rust and Python, including async programming.
• Familiarity with cloud-native stacks (Docker, Kubernetes) and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis).

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Rust and Python.
• Evolve distributed cloud-native and edge-based systems across cloud, edge, and robot environments.
• Design, version, and implement robust REST APIs for fleet management, orchestration, and real-time monitoring.
• Ensure code quality with automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Robotics, DevOps, and QA teams and mentor junior engineers.
